Whether you are new to Medicare or have been a Medicare Beneficiary for years, we can help you to ensure that you have the best coverage for your needs at the best possible price.
For many of us, transitioning to Medicare is the first time in our lives we have had to choose a health plan entirely on our own! Let that sink in! At 65, or older, after years of having insurance provided by your employer, you are being told to go pick your own Health Insurance at a time when health & budget issues are top--of-mind.
To make this harder, Medicare plans are individual. Spouses are seldom on the same plan as one another unlike the "family" coverage most have when working.
Fact: Less than 30% of current Medicare Beneficiaries can identify the parts of Medicare.
Fact: Less than 20% of current Medicare Beneficiaries take advantage of the Open Enrollment Period to confirm that their coverage is the best option for them.
For all of our clients, we start by educating to ensure that they understand their options, including the pros & cons of each, to build confidence in the decisions that they will ultimately make.
We then help them to choose the plans that best fit their medical needs and budget, as well as their stated preferences.
For those currently on Medicare, it is importnat to understand that plans change EVERY year! It is up to the Individual to check their coverage, understand any changes and review options.
Unfortunately, this is easier said then done and most people simply let their plans roll over from year-to-year, frequently over-paying on premiums and with inadequate coverage for providers and medications.
Ultimately, we view our role as that of an educator.
It is YOUR health insurance, make an informed decision and have a resource you can call upon when you have questions. We are here for you year-round to help with what ever you need, not just during Open Enrollment.
