Foreign Travel Coverage

For those on Medicare, knowing the coverage rules, outside of the US is important. Medicare (Parts A&B) has almost NO coverage outside of the US and territories.

On an Advantage Plan some of these rules could apply just by being in a different state!

As the winter travel season approaches it is good to review what is covered and what is not. Knowledge is power!

Your Supplement or Advantage plan will typically offer additional travel benefits beyond what Medicare offers but still limited in scope and in most cases require you to pay the bill in cash then get reimbursed...to the maximum!

Don't be surprised! Needing medical care while away is stressful engouh, don't find out your coverage will not pay for what you need!
